隨著中國經濟體的逐步成熟，廉價的勞動力優勢一去不復返，這對國內大量以低端市場為主的品牌提出了挑戰，眾多企業陷入了進退兩難的困境。破解這一困境根本之道在于推進產業和企業轉型升級，促使企業從原來粗放、低端、低附加值、制造加工為主，轉到做品牌、做高端的道路上來，實現品牌升級。同時，隨著社會經濟水平不斷提升，消費水平持續升級，低端市場日漸萎縮，而高端市場不斷擴大，也客觀上需要企業逐漸從低端市場轉移到高端市場，啟動高端品牌建設戰略。從低端到高端，市場的性質發生了根本性改變，僅僅修補和完善原有的低端運作平臺無法應對高端市場，企業運作平臺必須隨著市場變化進行根本性轉變，必須徹底改變原有的低端思維，以高端品牌的思維來開展我國的品牌升級戰略，從而促進我國企業的再次飛躍。
